16 Feb 1828: William and John S. Yocum borrowed $270, with interest, from the estate of Jacob Vert, the two notes to be paid in Aug 1827 and Aug 1828. They agree to let Washington Pleak and John Vert, executors of the estate, have a negroe girl named Patsy, age 17, for $25 a year, until she is 45 years old. If the money is not paid on schedule, she is to remain in their possession until the debt is paid. The mortgage is void when paid.
