Saint Anselm College's extensive internship program helps students experience a practical work environment related to their academic career interests while developing highly marketable career skills. Internships are a valuable part of career exploration through which students can receive training, gain experience and a better understanding of what is needed to prepare for and succeed in a particular profession.

An internship can be paid or unpaid, be for credit or not for credit and can vary in the hours or duration. If interested in an internship, please contact Tanya Robinson, the Executive Director of Center for Experiential Learning.

^ Agency Description: Business NH Magazine was started in 1983 as New Hampshire’s first statewide monthly business publication. ^ Agency Description: The Cabinet Press is a community newspaper serving the following communities: Milford; Bedford; Hollis/Brookline; and Merrimack.

Internship Title: News department Intern

Internship Description: The intern will work with the editor on a variety of news and feature assignments. The internship, which is unpaid, must be for academic credit. The company will provide reimbursement for mileage on assignments. The internship can be full-time, or can be a couple days a week.

Internship Title: Investigator Intern

Internship Description: Interns will conduct investigations for, and provide litigation support to, attorneys defending clients in criminal cases. Supervision is provided by NHPD investigators and attorneys.

Agency Description: The Manchester City Library has been a cultural treasure to Manchester and New Hampshire since 1854. In his inaugural address that year, Mayor elect Frederick Smyth proposed the establishment of a free public library for all of Manchester’s citizens.  The Manchester City Library currently circulates over 400,000 items and provides free computer access with both a public network and a wireless network. 

^ Internship Title: Intern - Librarian Trainee or Computer Technician 

Internship Description: All interns will be paired with a librarian for supervision and mentoring.  Interns could be assigned to assist in public service divisions or our technology division. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Enrollment in a computer science program 

  • Enrollment in a library science program  

  • Flexible hours

  • Library experience is a plus but not required 

  • Experience with customer service is a plus
